Everything we do and everything we produce at Tulliera aligns with three core principles that we are passionate about. You can be assured that Tulliera is:

Sustainable

Sustainability is our priority, meaning we aren’t taking more from the land or the sea than it can reproduce. We take the principle of working hand-in-hand with nature very seriously, which is why our sustainable practices aim to safeguard the natural environment and support native species. Native breeds and varieties have already grown familiar with the local land and the weather over many years, and thrive more easily with a lower carbon footprint. We also practice organic farming because it is built on respect for the natural connection between the land and what it sustains.

Local and Indigenous

From Maltese oxen, goats and black hens to the Maltese honeybee and Malta’s national dog, the Tal-Fenek, we strive to encourage indigenous breeds to thrive. Moreover we cultivate a range of typical Maltese crops, including various native varieties of fruits and vegetables. We support local also because the plants and animals belong and are therefore well adapted to their environment. We are also keen to keep Maltese traditions alive, such as the harvesting of sea salt from local salt pans in the traditional way.

Authentic

By supporting what is local and sustainable, we can bring to the consumer and catering industry a variety of traditional Maltese products that are largely organic with a promise to support future generations. We thereby add value to people and planet. Our products range from typical local preserves to goats cheese, from farm to fork. Visit our online shop to enjoy our premium products.

Creating the Future of Agriculture

At Tulliera, everything that grows has its purpose, from the wild plants to the waves crashing on the shores.

Here, nothing is wasted and nature is cherished.

Tulliera is a source where the soil is fertile, not exhausted, where pesticides have no home, and where the animals that live on the farm are happy and free to roam outside. This is a genuine farm to fork, with no fragmentation and 100% traceability.

Our vision extends to the restoration and reopening of a structure that was formerly a boutique hotel built in the 1950s. This project will also be aligned with our value of sustainability as well as promoting authentic Maltese hospitality in a traditional farmstead environment. When the Agritourism establishment is ready to welcome guests in the foreseeable future, it will provide a rich agricultural tourism experience that is relaxing and educational, and appeals to both foreign and local visitors.
